I've worked in the special education world for the past 17 years, working with students ranging from kindergarten to 22 years old in private and public settings. Special education and IEPs are my bread and butter daily.
My students have various needs and diagnoses such as Autism, ADHD, Intellectual Disability, Emotional Disability, Speech and Language Impairment, and other learning disabilities.
I'm currently working for a large school district in Southern California, supervising the behavior intervention program at multiple school sites, working closely with the families and school staff, conducting assessments, attending IEPs, collaborating with the other school staff, consulting, and training.
In addition to supervising my team members, I consult and provide behavior intervention training to the family and school staff.
I'm also in a graduate program, pursuing the degree and credential needed for the School Psychology path.
And I LOVE what I do to this day.
1. I had lived in Indonesia (Asia) and Nigeria (Africa) before settling in California (U.S.A.).
2. I went to a German high school in Africa.
3. I'm a mom of two, a boy and a girl. I'm also a mom to a furry baby named "Sammy the Toothless."
4. I met my hubby for our first date in a Starbucks store, and I knew soon after that this was the person who would be my life partner. Starbucks is still my favorite coffee shop.
5. I love to travel, meeting new people, and learning new things. My current top dream is to visit Japan during the cherry blossom season.
